C-STOCK's "Damn Yankees!" - a DAMN good show in Kitsap County WA

This past weekend saw the opening 'Homerun" performances of C-STOCK's (Central Stage Theatre of County Kitsap) musical comedy, "Damn Yankees!" here on the Kitsap Peninsula, in Silverdale, WA.

My two sons, Luke and Elliot, and I audtioned back last July and all three of us made the cast! It's been a huge time commitment and tons of work, but we've had a blast hanging out together!

Yesterday, our local newspaper, The Kitsap Sun, published a review by their entertainment critic, Michael Moore (there's no relation to the film maker, but he's just as obnoxious). You can read his review here.

In light of Mr. Moore's wonderfully insightful remarks, I thought I would offer up my own critique. To read my full article, simply click through to SOUNDBITEBLOG (opens up into a separate window)

All of you will like Sparky's fun, quality review better. People about Kitsap County are already calling Rich "Tony", after the award that's sure to come. This is about great family entertainment folks.

Rich, This is a wonderful story. So what if the reviewer has a problem with the production. You are absolutely right that family entertainment is not only hard to find but ever so much fun when you are a part of it. We are a theater family. We mostly enjoy watching but we also have a daughter who has acted in both community theater and as a professional. You guys look great together in your photo. Kudos to you for putting in all the effort it takes to get through one of these productions!

Rich, Good for you guys! It's not often anymore we hear about "family projects" or "family bonding" such as this. I wish more families did things like this! Boy you can sure tell you are your sons father! As far as Mr. Moore? Well... I rarely listen to critics.

That's awesome Rich.  I hope you and your boys cherish the time always.  Now I want to try out for a show with my boys.
