Winter Wonderland OR Winter Wonder [why am I still living here] Land?

This winter is longer than any winter in my memory, and we have only experienced five weeks of it so far!  As I rake off my roof and dig a path to my bird feeders (to make sure my birds have plenty to eat), I often think about the other places in the country that are not having to put up with this snow mountain (even though they may be experiencing "cold" weather).

Winter Wonderland

Are you wondering why you are still living in the Winter Land?  Looking to move someplace warmer?  I have many friends around the country who are REALTORS who would be more than happy to help you!  Give me a call or shoot me an e-mail, and I will get you connected!

Now I don't feel so bad.  Lol, I've just not been happy with cold weather let alone all the snow your area has got this year.  For some reason we are way down on snow this year but who knows there is still time.

Hi Chris,

Bite your tongue!  Connecticut is a beautiful place to live.  But this year, well that is a lot of snow!

The snow is one of the reasons I stay here, Chris.  It is beautiful and humbling at the same time.  We have to realize there are things we can't control, and Mother Nature sends us that reminder on a regular basis.  Keeps us resilient, I think (I hope).   Great photos.

Hi Bob - You never know what a season will bring!  Hopefully Connecticut will get the most wonderful Spring and Summer ever after this winter!

Hi Lisa - Connecticut IS a beautiful place to live.  Those of us living here right now however, are having trouble seeing anythng but white!

Hi Kathryn - Snow is beautiful, but so many people here are starting to feel like it is time to head to warmer climates that this was just a fun way for me to offer to help people find just the right REALTOR elsewhere (as we have many connections).  Glad you enjoyed the photos!

Hi Chris - love the photos.  I hear there's even more snow coming our way tomorrow and more next week.  This is unbelievable!  The kids are loving it.

Hi Karen - I don't think this weekend's snow is supposed to amount to anything, but YES "they" are saying that more is on the way next week.  Just in time for Groundhog's Day!

Chris -- This snow really is unbelievable no matter how 'beautiful' it is.  For us, we deal with it and enjoy everything else about CT. For others, though, it can be a hardship along with the cold, so moving to a warmer climate is feasible for them.  This type of post is a great way to offer assistance to those who are relocating as we have many realtors around the country to connect them to!

Chris, I know a GREAT place to move --- Denver is 64 degrees today, maybe snow sometime next, or maybe not....but LOTS less than CT!     Hope all that snow melts soon!

Hi Barbara - It's been a tough winter on everyone, and I think that many people who really don't need to stay in the northeast are starting to think about warmer locations . . .

Hi Joshua - With another storm heading our way, leaving wouldn't be the best idea.  Who would rake my roof?  : )

Hi Tony and Darcy - We could certainly use a break, but it doesn't look like that is in the forecast!

Hi Joan - 64 degrees?  That would cause a flood here!  Wasn't thinking of Denver as a "warmer climate" when I wrote this post, but who knows!?

Hi Rob - Lots of people here love the snow.  But as you say, if you had this much you might change your mind.  And lots of snow lovers are even saying "okay, enough is enough!"  A great weekend to you as well!

ah-ha, I am happy I am not the only one digging a path to the bird feeders...lol. Hey this is what makes Ct great, four heavy duty awesome seasons, not every winter is like this but enjoy it when you can.

Hi David - With the way the birds are eating, I think I am one of the few digging a path to the bird feeders in Cheshire! Thanks for the reminder to tell folks that this is not normal for us . . .

For all of you reading this who are not from Connecticut - this is a HIGHLY unusual winter for us!  Please don't think this is normal here!  : )  After all, I never used a roof rake until this year!

Great snow pictures. We have more snow than we can handle but it can not match what you received. Be careful out there!
