They Break Every Rule...

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Hello Realty NM Broker License 16161

They break every rule at the end of every day or so it seems. No matter where I am or what I am doing there is some trigger that goes off in my mind to make me take notice of the sun setting over Santa Fe. On some evenings, it is as if the clouds and sky want to move west in a bright blaze of glory. On other evenings, the sun quietly sinks below the Jemez Mountain range as if going to dinner alone. On this occasion, it was a full dress formal Oscar-like event in the sky. Fortunately, I'm tethered to my camera. This image happened next followed by the sound of my two hands clapping.

Great photo.  I just returned from a trip to Hawaii and the sky if BEAUTIFUL there too.  There are some places that people would just rather be because of their beauty.  Santa Fe looks like one of them.

Emily - Has it been cold in Santa Fe this winter?  Tell me there is someplace sunny, warm, with no snow in the U.S.  I may just hop on the next plane and surprise you!

Just makes me smile to think about you snaping the picture and then clapping!  We had a bit of drama this evening as well, but I was not as trigger happy as I probably should have been, maybe tomorrow?

Just beautiful!  I often look at the sunrise and sunset, from my back deck.  We live on a mountain and the beauty that we have as scenery is absolutely, amazing.  Thanks for sharing this lovely scene with us:)

Melissa, Hawaii has a front row seat and there is nothing like watching the sun disappear into the ocean.

Gail, our winter must be waiting for February. We have had some snow and the skiers are here but everyone is praying for snow and its seems to end up on the East coast lately. As for temperature, we did have a passing cold spell however the sun is shining every day. By the way, I love surprises!

Wanda, I look forward to seeing the ones that do not get away sometime soon. You have an expansive horizon line which gives the sun a full stage to play on.

Fran, you are fortunate to have those views in Connecticut. I lived in the central part of the state and only remember experiencing sunsets at the shore.

Gloria, I know the sun sets in south eastern Pennsylvania as it sets there before it gets here. Look for the light and reflections in your surroundings!

Hi Emily, This is an amazing shot.  As I am sure you recall, Connecticut has many beautiful sunsets too--if the cloud cover would go away long enough for us to see them!  (Okay, not really--the sun was pretty good today as I was on my roof raking the snow off and opening channels in the ice . . . )
