Good News Bad News.Las Vegas Population has grown by 30,000 in the last year..But unemployment increased to 14.9 %. Even though people continue to lose jobs they still move here because housing prices are so low that apparently some people can afford to own without having a job...My guess is retirees..Vegas does have some of the best weather in the country.Sunny skies, low humidity, plenty to do on and off the Strip.

Jacob, that makes sense! I think we are seeing a bit of that here as inventory is dropping. I am wondering about some of the shadow inventory that may hit with new foreclosures soon.

I have been relocating a lot of retirees and people who want to try to live here. Moving without jobs and lots of cash.

Inventory in Vegas is on a emotional roller coaster ride the last couple months. Up one week slightly, then down the next slightly. The "news" today said that Foreclosures here are down and buyers are a vanishing breed. It's posssible they may be half right. Of course I put a regular sale on the market Monday and got a full price offer by Wednesday. My REO inventory is drying up though.  I hope some of that Shadow Inventory hits the market soon for me to sell....
