Question & Answer:How Do I Calculate Square Footage?

By
Industry Observer with Collateral Specialist Inc

Q: I am thinking about selling my home but don't know how to calculate the squarefootage. Is the a standard formula I can apply?

A: For an accurte measure of your home's squarefootage it is best to consult a real estate appraiser. An Appraiser can more accurately determine the amount of livable space in  your home. When listing the square footage do not include the garage, attic, or basement, unless it is a finnished basement.
