Less than 24 hours to go until the MD State Police Polar Bear Plunge 2011!!
The Polar Bear Plunge is a great event held every year at Sandy Point State Park by the MD State Police to benefit the MD Special Olympics. Brave souls commit to plunging into the icy waters of the Chesapeake Bay in return for donations that help the Special Olympics fund programs where children and adult athletes with intellectual disabilities can train and compete year round.
The is the 15th year for the event and Al Chef's fourth. In the past, he has raised almost four thousand dollars toward this worthy cause and his goal for this year alone is $2,000.
There is still time to donate by going to AlChef's Polar Bear Plunge page. Every little bit counts!
