Phone rings.
"Hi, I'm Daphne, and I saw a property and want to make an offer."
"OK."
Back and forth... Negotiate... Negotiate... Meeting of the minds.
"OK. I need to wire the money for the for payment. What are your Trust Account numbers and routing numbers for that account?"
"Okey-Dokey."
Curtain closes on Act 1, Scene 1.
Act 1, Scene 2:
Busy or not busy real estate office.
Phone rings.
"Hi. I'm calling for Daphne."
"OK."
"Well, not exactly OK. Daphne was killed in a car crash this morning, and of course, she won't be buying that sweet little love shack in the hills."
"Oh, Dear. Sad. OK. Thanks for the news."
Curtain closes on Act 1, Scene 2.
Act 1, Scene 3:
Busy or not busy, real estate office.
Phone rings.
"Hello. This is Banker Bob. Did you know that your trust account was drained dry last night?"
"Oh, dear... Not good, that."
Curtain drops. No encores....
North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper's office is in the news again, warning about a scam. And this time the scam attempts have been aimed at treal estate agents in the Asheville area.
And it appears that Daphne Navarro has been looking at a LOT of property.
Keep your guard up!
