I just discovered that I can record video of my screen with Jing, Boy am I going to have fun with that!  So without further ado here is my vlog on “how to” create a blog using Google Docs!

Well done Melissa!  I love Google docs and have been using it for writing my blogs for a while now.  I've used ScribeFire for years, but liked the fact that I now can "save" my blogs in Google Docs.  I didn't know about the proprietary issue that Katerina is referring to, nor about the misc code being injected.  Will have to check that out further.

That's how I learn. So, now I know how to do this. A 5 page explanation would just have lost me.

Thanks, once again,

Good morning Melissa,

I owe a big thank you to Richard I. for his reblog of your post.  I have been using Jing for a long time but forgot about the video capability.  I am going to start practicing with it so I will have another tool in my box.

Hi Melissa, I was just directed to your video blog for instructions on how to use google docs to format.  Thank you so much for this post!  I've been a member for a few years and all this time didn't know how to do that.  Many thanks!

Just came over from Mary Macy's reblog. Had to tell you thanks and good job

I'm one of those folks who use the Web layout from Word, and it works fine for me since I already have Word anyway. But knowing about being able to do this on Google docs works for me too since I am weaning myself away from Microsoft products

Hi Melissa,
Google Docs is very cool. Google drive is an excellent storage service.
For example, you can use Google Docs as a backup destination to backup all your data from other cloud services. For example, if you use Evernote and Dropbox, it might good to backup all notes and documents to Google Drive.
So please check out cloudHQ (http://cloudHQ.net) - cloudHQ can backup and sync all your files from Dropbox, Evernote, SugarSync, Box, etc. to Google Docs - even Basecamp projects.
