U.S. Space & Rocket Center Huntsville Alabama

 U.S. Space And Rocket Center Huntsville Alabama is a museum showcasing the tools, product and hardware of the U.S. Space Program and is also home to Space Camp.  The   U.S. Space & Rocket Center  opened it's doors in 1970 and was the brain child of Dr. Wernher von Braun who headed up the program for the United States to be the first to put a man on the moon.

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is Huntsville Alabama's number one tourist attraction.

You can't appreciate how large the shuttle and the booster rockets are until you stand beside it or try to fit it into a camera frame.

The Davidson Center below right houses an actual Saturn V rocket that is suspended above the floor and visitors.  The Saturn V is displayed with each stage separated. 

In the Space Center are hundreds of interactive displays, space related exihibits and training facilities for Space Camp attendees and Astronauts alike...and you.
