Time To Slow Down ....Like This Week in Baltimore

There are times that you just have to slow down a bit...like this week in Baltimore.

After reading  Gary Woltol's post , I found the reason for driving through the cemetery yesterday. It was time to sloooow down, to enjoy the beauty and not worry about the other cars or the narrow lanes or traffic or getting somewhere.

The peace and quiet.... awesome and the snow was gently falling...again.

As Gary says...."Life does not have to be zoom zoom. Slow down. You'll get there."

The feathered critters were still there and some  literally walked on water. I thought for a moment or two I could actually see them shiver.. but maybe it was my imagination.  This cemetery is a very different scene in  winter.

Half coated with snow,  naked trees show the wind's effect.

But I did slow down, taking in the cold air, the snow and water dripping on me with the window down and the camera outside. I took in the frigid fresh air and the beauty of our winter season.  There is so much to experience on our journey. Be careful not to miss these special times by going too fast. It not just the  the Roses we need to stop and smell. There is more to life if we are not going too fast.

It would be nice to slow down.  Sometimes I feel I'm going so fast I'm actually going in slow motion...

Margaret, I have to get over to read Gary's post... I am behind with all that is  going on. Anyway, that is really funny, I almost pulled into the local cemetery here to take a private minute or 2, and get some photos. I love photos of old cemeteries.. I'm weird though. Maybe I will do that today! Slow down.. smell the flowers, watch the birds, look at the snow.. whatever you do it is great advice!

The bare trees would make me yearn for spring but the quiet of a snowfall is always welcome.  Be sure to send the pics of the Tulips when they arrive Margaret!

I applaud Gary for inspiring you to to "sloooow down" :) We all need to, just take a break and give yourself a day of rest.  It used to be that every Sunday we would gather with family and just be...today, we are all so engulfed in our own world that idea is put on the back burner.  So yea, relax and enjoy life...like he said, we'll all get there :)

Recently, I have been taking things slower for the sake of my husband. But that don't mean I'm throwing in the towel, I've got lots to look forward too.

There is a lot of beautiful scenery out there just blanketed in magnificent snow.  Take the time to get out of the house and see the beauty out there right now!

For us, Margaret - we don't even have a choice - we HAVE TO slow down! Already more than 80 inches of snow and another 10-15 is our way this Tuesday and Wednesday. For the first time, I felt I should move to San Diego....

Praful, Yes we have to slow down because of the weather. If you moved you would miss all this incredible beauty.

Dan, I have been out plenty. Some of that beauty is lacking when showing houses that have not been plowed or shoveled.

Ellen, We do what needs to be done.

Sally, You are quite the wise one. Hubby and I are going to start a weekly lunch date..with rules. No real estate talk!

Laura, Yes, we will get there.

Kevin, I have tulip blogs also..I will go find one. Those are some perfect lyrics, Bare Trees.

Andrea, It was a really nice time. The slow pace, the quiet, the beauty...lots of pictures but decided less is better sometimes.

Gail, Gonna go look for your ""Calgon post". Don't forget we have a lunch date next Saturday.

Steve, Good for you.

KK. I do understand you.

Melissa, Thanks for all you do. You have some dynamite posts. Thanks for the message re: Julissa's post.

Margaret,  Your photos look like postcards!  You're right; sometimes we have to slow down, stop and really smell the roses (or enjoy the scenery.)  We are always rushing.  There is such beauty around us that we take for granted.  Thanks for the reminder :)
