Red Sox Tickets Go On Sale Today - Spring Cannot Be Far Away
It has been a long, cold snowy winter here in the Northeast. Every week has brought another snowstorm. Boston has had over 60 inches of snow now in the past month. That is above the amount we get on average for an entire winter - and we still have to get through February and March! (And don't get me even thinking about April - we have had snowstorms in April before and I even remember one May when I saw snowflakes!)
Between the weather and the Patriots being out of the Superbowl, many of us are looking forward to Spring (well, except for maybe those die-hard ski enthusiasts).
One sure sign of Spring is Red Sox Baseball! Tickets to most regular season baseball games went on sale today at 10:00 am, excluding games against the Yankees and the Cubs. Fans wanting tickets to those games have to wait for a random drawing at later date for the chance to purchase tickets to those games.
Soon, the equipment truck will be leaving Fenway and heading to sunny Florida. Pitchers and catchers will begin arriving at training camp and the rest of the team will arrive soon after.
Rest assured, spring will not be too far behind!
Before you know it, we will be enjoying an ice cold beer on a warm summer evening and we will hear the crack of the bat. This is what I am going to focus on to keep my mind off the cold and the next snowstorm (which is predicted for this Wednesday!).
And if any of you hear me complaining about the heat next summer, feel free to remind me about this cold snowy winter!
