HOW TO FIND A GOOD NORCO CA REALTOR TO SELL YOUR NORCO CA HOUSE
When you decide to sell your Norco CA home you don't take the process lightly. Of course you don't, because your house is your home that you and your family have shared together. And, because for most of us our house is our most valuable asset. In this tough market you need to make sure the sale produces a top-dollar selling price for your investment AND for the purchase of your next home.
So, How do you really find a good Norco CA REALTOR to sell your home?
Here's a quick list of ways to search for a real estate agent and things to consider:
1. Google search (or use any other web search engine) the city or area your home is located in. Search for REALTORS and real estate agents in that area. For example: NORCO CA REALTORS AND REAL ESTATE AGENTS
You will find brokerages, agents and even other real estate websites like Zillow and Movoto come up in the search.
Calling real estate brokerage offices is fine, just keep in mind that the agents that answer the phone are working their scheduled "floor time". Floor time is shared with all the agents within the office to spread the opportunities around. But not every REALTOR and real estate agent within an office is a good a REALTOR or real estate agent.
The Realtors and real estate agents you find in your Google search with their own websites tend to be a better blend of agent just for the simple fact that they have a website and that is a sign of more productivity on their part, but that is not a stead-fast rule, just my personal opinion.
The real estate websites like Zillow, Trulia and others can serve to help you on your search for homes for sale, but they actually sell leads to agents willing to buy them. So if you depend on these websites for your REALTOR or Real estate agent search you will get the agent that paid for your contact. That does not indicate any competency whatsoever.
2. Call the REALTORs and Real Estate Agents directly and INTERVIEW THEM!!!
This is a great way to see who's out there and to gather information in the process. Don't let shyness or any other hang up about asking as many questions as you can get in the way of realizing the full sale potential of your house. In fact, phone interview as many agents as you can, and while you do, write down questions you've asked and compare answers from agent to agent. You'll be surprised how answers will vary from REALTOR to REALTOR.
But don't stop there. Ask them their qualifications, credentials, and most importantly, how many listings and they have and have sold in the past year. A real estate agent could have been in the business 20+ years, but if they haven't sold anything in 2 years, they are out of the game and out of touch.
Also, keep in mind that many Realtors and real estate agents will tell you whatever you want to hear to obtain your listing. You may feel the property is worth $500,000, but if its only worth $400,000 it does not help you or the sale of your property to over-list the house and just "wait to see what happens". That kills your valuable marketing time, it kills your potential buyer pool, and it stalls interest in your home. You want an agent that's honest with you about the market value of your house, not a salesman that will say anything for your business.
3. Use the Department of Real Estate's (DRE) website for background information on any potential Realtors and real estate agents you're thinking of working with. Here's a link to our California Department of Real Estate website. Most, if not all states have DRE websites that with give you information on any agents in question, how long they've been licensed for, and if they have ever had any complaints or disciplinary action brought against them.
