Gary~ Those are certainly some intriguing doors! They make me think of an old song, "What's behind the green door?"

Liz, One of my friends told me how much she liked the doors in Mexico and I took all these photos in Queretaro, Mexico.  Thanks for stopping by.

Keith, I agree that doors make a big first impression.  I loved all these old ones, but each time I see one I remember how important the front doors to our listings can be.

Kristine, In the old colonial cities of Mexico there are lots of doors like this -- I bet they would cost a fortune now.

Debi,
You're right the doors are serious. It would be fun to learn what is behind them.

I never really thought about how a door could seem OMINOUS (#3).  Very interesting!  Maybe you could get a whole series out of this, very fascinating!

Chris, It is an interesting door.  And the lock really makes you wonder what is behind the door.

Brenda, It does look ominous.  It was in an old hotel.  I was staying with friends so I can't tell you about a night in that hotel -- maybe next trip.

Steve,  Thank you. I was glad that a friend suggested looking at the doors.  Now I watch for them, but before they didn't seem quite as dramatic.

Kate, Thank you. I had a lot of fun with the doors and I'm glad that you mentioned gates because I have seen some that I should have photographed and in the future I will.
