End of month thoughts

By
Services for Real Estate Pros

My introspection at the end of this month has indicated that, in ActiveRain, alone, I will have read over 3,000 posts for January - posts with opinions, posts with business information, educational (for me) articles, information on localities that would take me years to visit.

I will have contributed a post a day, entered 200 plus comments and received just under 150 commments on my work in that time - and I appear to be  small fry in the system called ActiveRain.

I tend to stay away from the social blog format as I feel it would make me a skimmer and a user, not giving individuals their due, leading me away from thinking deeply about posts before commenting. When I develop an interest in a particular blog, I like to explore past posts, the body of work, of that author. This seems to apply most to systems that I would like to emulate.

I suppose that the major benefit to me over the last few months has been making dents in my "I don't really know what I don't know" field. I am out of my comfort zone.Progress is in me daily.

For the past decade I have lived by the motto "Dream - Dare - Do", along with the mantra "No limits - No Excuses". ActiveRain certainly supports me in this philosophy, giving me energy to surge on.

Getting out of our comfort zone is very challenging.  I have been sticking my big toe out there to see what I can learn.  At my age, it kinda runs together sometimes and I have to have another run at it.  The blogs that I learn from are bookmarked.  I may have to check it two or three times before it soaks in.  But it keeps the ole brain working.

I love it here too.  I've been doing the January challenge and I have learned so much.  Great place.

Larry, like your comment, "giving me energy to surge on." AR does that for me as well.

Larry ~  I look forward to "visiting" you each day, so please keep on blogging.  I do believe I would be well-advised to adopt your mantra . . .
