I know many of you already received information either from NJAR or NAR, but please don't ignore it. I send a letter to my entire database of clients to ask for their support. Please at least take to send your own response even if you don't feel compelled to let your clients know.

September 19, 2007 REALTORS®: Help Stop the New Jersey Home Sales Tax In response to NJAR®'s Local Home Sales Tax campaign, the League of Municipalities sent a notice to New Jersey mayors urging them to write legislators in support of a local realty transfer fee. In this week's edition of NJBIZ Assemblywoman Joan Quigley, prime sponsor of local transfer fee legislation, referenced the Home Sales Tax campaign by saying, "It's a bit of overkill," says Quigley, who adds that the new tax amounts to just one-tenth of 1 percent of the sales price of a home and would be "imperceptible."
NJAR® feels that now is the time to initiate our letter-writing campaign and we need your help! NJAR® has created two separate letter-writing campaigns- one specifically for REALTORS® and one for consumers. 1. Send the REALTOR®-specific letter by clicking here. 2. Tell your clients and customers to send a letter by visiting http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=p74fxecab.0.embgxecab.6nzyc7n6.46857&ts=S0273&p=http%3A%2F%2Ftakeaction.realtoractioncenter.com%2Fcampaign%2Fnjhomesalestaxp Together, our strong, unified voice can help stop additional taxes on New Jersey homeowners. Thank you for your support and participation!
