Clean out the closet, help charity!

I know those that are down in the Florida Keys are probably out at the Key Largo Seafood Festival today, but for all of you that are up north in the cold, why not go in the closet, and then come out of the closet with clothing to be donated to charity.

A cold and snowy Sunday is a great opportunity to look over the stuff in your closet that doesn't fit or is out of style and come out with donations for those less fortunate.

There are many that have lost everything to fire, or a woman avoiding abuse and many other reasons people need your old clothing.

Let your unused stuff go to help others AND leave you extra room in your closet. Not to mention, there is still a tax deduction for charitable contributions.

Kathy: This is an excellent suggestion (cleaned out my own recently), but I love to see these posts reminding people how much others need what we may not be using! Happy Sunday~

What a coincidence, we spent the weekend helping our kids clean out their rooms, and ended up with loads of all kinds of stuff to donate to charity. It was good for our kids to learn about helping other people.

Good idea, Kathy.  I should start with my attic & work down.  Enjoy the warmth & sunshine of the Keys. I plan to ski this afternoon.

Great idea, especially for potential sellers. First thing to do before listing: cleaning! Even if not this year, think ahead by keeping things organized and help out!
