The Swiss Alps.
I just returned from a ski vacation in the Swiss Alps.
I highly recommend our accommodations at Landal Vierwaldstättersee, vacation homes in Swiss Holiday Park in Morschach on the banks of the Vierwaldstättersee.

Our location was about 1 mile from the gondola the only transportation available to the village of Stoos.
This town is small and cozy and the skiing is fantastic; there is even a down hill trail for sledding. The ski area is relatively small in comparison to some of the ski resorts we visited in Austria, but for me this was perfect. Stoos has a few places where you could rent or buy sport equipment, ideal for me because I needed a helmet (I don't feel save without one), bars, restaurants and hotels. One can also rent vacation homes on the slopes. I enjoyed the quiet, easy going atmosphere. The host of the bar we stopped at near the end of the day for a beer also operates vacation homes in Canada during the summer months.
We "flew" over the German Autobahn at speeds of 110 miles an hour in areas where there is no speed limit.
I am sharing some of the pictures I took.
