Thank You, Connie Harvey

Thank youThank you, Connie Harvey, for creating the 31 Day Challenge for January 2011.  Without your challenge, my resolution to blog once a day would have probably fallen by the wayside, much like just about any other resolution I make.  It would have been so much easier for me to just say "Ah, forget about it!" when it got late or I was not sure what to blog about.  Instead, your challenge made me reach deep down inside and create something that I thought would be interesting, not just something that would fill the space.  I greatly appreciate it!

Now, to continue on with the butt-kicking blog taskmaster duties, I've joined up with Susan Jackson's Valentine Bloggers to keep me in line for February.  Even if there are no "extra" points involved, it will keep me motivated to find something to write everyday and that is worth more than the points!

I too have participated. I have not written today's blog yet. I am waiting to be inspired by something. Is there a final step we have to do for the points, like send it to Karrie or something?

Ditto!  And I like your list of your blog links at the end of your post.  Some of your titles sound very intriguing . . .

Heather, a good swift kick in the behind.. or the promise of points, is often a good motivator!

Heather, I have gotten so much out of this I am going to have to write a post about it. Maybe that will be my post today. Reflections on the 31 day challenge. Thank you so much for your kind words. I just don't know what to say. :)

Kathy - It's my understanding that, after you write your last post for January, email Kerrie at kerrie@activerain.com and let her know you're done with the challenge.  Make sure you do it by February 4th so you don't miss out.

Well, Brenda.  If something grabs your eye, go "take a gander". :)

That's the goal, Rick.  If I can break it up into months, I'll be able to handle it.  Thinking of it as every day for a year just sounds like so much!

It's not the points so much, Andrea, as the kick in the butt I really needed.  The points are a bonus.  I'm already joined up with the Valentine Bloggers group to post every day and that doesn't include any more points that what you get for just posting.  Being accountable is making the difference for me.

No, Connie.  THANK YOU.  Truly.  Your challenge helped keep me on track.  It's also made me really think about what I write instead of just putting it off.  I appreciate it and look forward to your post today.

Thanks, Mary, my sweet friend.  Sometimes, it was hard to sit down and just do it, but I did it.  It would have been easy to say, "I'm too tired", "I don't know what to write", etc.  But, Connie's challenge helped me stay on task.

Heather,

Kudos for thanking Connie, it's really gotten me going everyday to have this 31 day commitment!

Good luck with February, I will have to see if I am up for the challenge:-)  Some days this month were a lot tougher than others.

All the best, Michelle

Heather,

This really was a great Challenge and as others have said, it kept me on track.  It was wonderful meeting and communicating with everyone and look forward to seeing and connecting with everyone for the Valentine Challenge as well.  See you over there!
