According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), more than one out of every four folks have cut the landline and use cell phones only http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhis/earlyrelease/wireless201012.pdf  - "More than one of every four American homes (26.6%) had only wireless telephones (also known as cellular telephones, cell phones, or mobile phones) during the first half of 2010-an increase of 2.1 percentage points since the second half of 2009."

Is it me or does it seem closer to 50%?  Also good news for those on Verizon, starting this Friday, February 4th, you can pre-order your iphone 4.

I know many people that have cut their land lines and went all cell phone. The NOW Generation is taking over.

Just cut the land line last week! Whenever the darn thing rang nobody wanted to answer it. It was a constant barrage of calls from solicitors and we were on the do not call list. We went with Clear Wireless for internet. It works great! I was amazed my wife was on board to cut the land line.

On the flip side it sure makes it tough to track down FSBO's, NOD's, and expireds.
