We lost 80 degrees in 3 days!

Here in the Boulder area tonight we are all scrambling to stay warm inside our homes.  I went to one of the local grocery stores at 4pm and it was packed.  Everyone was stocking up food and goodies for the next few days.

I got an email at 3:30 pm stating Boulder Valley Schools will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday) due to the extreme drop in temp's tonight into tomorrow.  Joy!  I get to spend a day with two daughters (aged 7 and 4).

On Friday afternoon we just touched 70 degrees and we were all out enjoying the warmth of the sun.  And now tonight the lows are going to be at least -10 degrees.  Wow!  What a change!

This is Colorado for ya!  :)

What a awesome view! We have those same sort of weather changes here in Jax. We can be in the 30's one day and the 80's the next, we just never know.

What goes up goes down and when mother nature allows you to be 70 in January, there is going to be some payback.

Thanks Kim!  Jacksonville is beautiful, I was there once for business and I remember it being a little chilly.

You are right Scott!  Hoping we'll get back on track this coming weekend with temp's in the 50's.

I've never been to Boulder, but I have been to Colorado Springs and West.  One of the most magnificent sights I ever experienced was my first view of the mountains in Colorado.  I still remember it and that last photo on this post is a fabulous reminder.

Thanks.

Thanks Lenn--it's a roller coaster here in terms of weather, yesterday it was close to 70 degrees and it was beautiful.

I know you're area well--I was born in D.C. and lived in Fairfax County until I was 15 and then we moved out here.  :)  My best to you.
