Get Off The Fence

"It doesn't matter which side of the fence

your on you get off on sometimes.

What matters most is getting off.

You cannot make progress without making decisions."

Jim Rohn, Self-Help Author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Get off the fence

When we're sitting on the fence, we just sit there without making any progress, we not moving forward and all we can do is watch the world passing us by.

Sitting on the fence is actively practicing the art of procrastination and putting off making decisions to some unspecified time in the future.

The person that's sitting on the fence is on the fence by their choice. They have ended up sitting on the fence as result of not making the decision to take action and to move their life forward. The person is just sitting on the fence going no where.

Unless the person on the fence makes the decision to get off the fence and getting on with their life the best bet is that they will eventually just fall off of the fence into obscurity.

When we are facing a challenging decision nothing productive gets done until we get off the fence. Make the best possible decision that we can make. Put your decision in motive and move forward and move on.

Hello Lou,

You are right.....sitting on the fence agonizing over which side to jump off into leave you in a nebulous state. Neither here no there as they say.  You have to jump in ......  and that your chances.

Love your posts......

You're preaching to the choir. consumers have to make the best decision for their specific situation and be aware about what's happening in their specific market.

Lou - Do you remember the other saying about the fence ... if you're on the fence you run the risk of coming done on both sides ... a guaranteed painful experience!

Lou, so right - it's important to jump on ANY side of the fence - it does lead to relief for all affected by the decision.

You can be mesmerized or fooled while sitting on the fence...

I am reminded of the frog in the slowly heated pan.

If you don't get off, you might get burned while the fence catches fire!!
