Collier County, Goodland Florida, has a brand new boat launch which is just a minutes away from the 10,000 Islands. As a boater I can't tell you how thrilled my husband and I were to see this park open. Wide launch, room for 2 boats at a time, stable piers with ladders, fully staffed bait store with all the goodies one needs for a day on the water. Clean restrooms, BBQ pavilion and my personal favorite, grass (not asphalt) parking for trucks with trailers. There is something there for everyone whether you have a boat, kayak, jet ski or just want in a quiet beautiful place to sit and look out at the water. Tax money well spent.
Great advertisement for the merits of living in Southwest Florida on a day when most of our feeder markets are bracing for a major storm. Talk about timimg!
Always a boon for Florida neighborhoods to have easy access to the water, with all of our boating enthusiasts.
Thanks Wayne and Gabe. The good news and the bad news. I've been so busy with real estate (good news) that last Saturday was the first time I've been on the water since December (bad news). Fishing was not too good because of the cold water but it was a beautiful day.
Sounds fabulous! Makes me want to move to Florida especially when we're getting 20 more inches of snow today and tomorrow here in Boston. I'm jealous. Great Story though...
Lisa,
I am so sorry I ddn't get back to you sooner.... I was busy shoveling sunshine today....Be safe!
Lynn - "busy shoveling sunshine" Now that's funny and I believe I'll borrow it!
Steve,
If truth be known I "borrowed" the phrase so you just go right ahead!
