ONLINE BUYER'S BEWARE

Last week I visited a client who was anxious to buy some patio furniture. She saw it on-line, ordered it; however, after it arrived and they had a chance to sit on it, they discovered it wasn't as comfortable as they thought it would be. Unfortunately, I hear this story quite often.

The difference between http:// and https://

When it comes to buying furniture, it might be wise to "try it out first" to see how comfortable it is, how it actually looks. Sometimes photos are deceiving. Many companies sell mattresses on-line, however, unless you've actually laid down on the mattress to see how it feels, you won't know if it's the right one until you bring it home and try it out!

IMPORTANT: If you or someone you know is interested in buying or selling a home, try searching properties on the same MLS Realtor’s use, or give me a call….or visit my website at Palm Springs Real Estates. I will be happy to give you or your referral my “red carpet service.” After the sale, I will send you a $50 Gift Certificate towards dinner so you can celebrate!

Good points Nancy, it is difficult to buy furniture online. You don't always know the quality or comfort from a picture.

I have shopped online for years but you have to trust your company.  I bought dining room chairs one time from a big furniture company in High Point who ships.  I explained to the in-store decorator what I wanted, sent her pictures and measurements and told her that my main requirement was comfort...for her to sit in the chairs...paid by credit card.  I love them; she did a great job.  I have bought cars & houses so I love online shopping.

Well, I 'll be darn! Just learned something new and very useful: the difference between: "http" and "https".

Thank you so very much from the bottom of my "wallet"... I do so much shopping on-line. I will be thinking about it and you, next time!
