Valentine Tree

By
Real Estate Agent with Mountains to Lakes Real Estate, Inc.

As I begin to write this post I'm sitting in my comfy chair, looking past the Christmas tree (that is still decorated) out through my big picture windows onto the main street of town. I'm watching the cars and people as they go about their everyday activities.

I thought to myself...you know YOU really SHOULD take down that Christmas tree. But another thought enters my mind, this could be an all season tree.  Valentine's Day is just around the corner.  It could be a Valentine tree, after that it could be a St. Patricks day tree, then an Easter tree,  a 4th of July tree, then a UT football tree, you get the idea.  The options are endless.

Is anyone experiencing this same phenomenon?  If so, I'm open for suggestions!

Too cute! You could hang a cupid in the doorway and use it as mistletoe!

I like your creativity here, Kim. As a football fan, I'd be interested to see what the UT football tree would look like. Send me pics.

thank you guys...I just can't believe it's taken this long for me to take down the Christmas decorations.  I have one large window that has nothing in it right now. I think I'm going to use that window to celebrate the love month. I think the cupid would be great!

Kim- As Cindy (#3) said you have more energy than I would have.  It's all I can do to change the little garden flag each month that I have outside.

Kim,

Too cute... and very clever idea.  I would have never thought to leave a Tree up all year long.  You are right though... the possibilities are endless.  A spring flower tree, a Birthday, Mother's Day's, Father's Day, and Grandparent's Day tree to name a few possibilities.  Even a Graduation tree or a beach theme in summer sounds fun.  I like your idea of the Forth of July tree... with American Flags and ribbon would look great.  The only trouble I would have is my family expecting presents under the tree every month!!!

Thanks for sharing this clever idea... this would be a great post for the new group..  "Feather Nesters" started by Myrl Jeffcoat.  It's a really fun group with wonderful ideas like yours... if you have a chance check it out.

Kathy & Cindy...don't let my actions fool you.  I'm not sure I have that much energy.

Great ideas Linda and i will check out the "Feather Nesters" group.

Kim,

We have friends that kept 3 TREES  as all season trees one year.  Your Valentine's Day tree reminded me of one of theirs.

Best,

Steve

Kim, love it. We didn't have decorations this year because the house was on the market, my husband and father both got sick and there was no one to help me pull the stuff out of the attic. Just skipped Christmas.

Steve...I couldn't imagine keeping up three trees. The one tree will be hard to stay on top of.  This may be my one year for an all season tree.  Connie...You don't know how many times I've wanted to just skip Christmas (no decorations) but I'm sure my family would have a fit!  Did the house sale?
