Simple Ways To Organize Your Home...
I have posted on my blogs and videos on You Tube about the efforts you need to take to get you home ready to sell. Here is a great article about organizing your home.
The late comic George Carlin made light of the fact that we all have too much stuffa random collection of things we rarely use, but wont consign to the junk pile. And, points out Marilyn Bohn, author of, Go Organize, no one says at the end of life, I wish Id kept more stuff.
If overstuffed drawers and cluttered countertops are beginning to get on your nerves, heres a list of seven things you canand shouldthrow out. If you cant bear to toss them in the trash, donate them to a local thrift shop.
Kitchen utensils. if youre like most cooks, you have six spatulas, three basters and a bunch of other duplicate utensils. And chances are, you can never find the one you want. Go through the utensil drawer, get rid of the extras and make life a little easier.
Coffee mugs. Get rid of that odd collection of unmatched coffee mugs lurking in the back of your kitchen cupboard and enjoy the newfound space.
Plastic containers. Have a lid party to match up the lids and containers that are taking up valuable drawer space. Recycle or throw out the ones that dont match.
Vases. If youve saved the pots and vases from every plant and bouquet youve ever received, you will never use most of them again. Save a few of your favorites, but toss or donate the rest.
Mail. Its a common habit. Go through the mail, pull out stuff for later and set it on the pile the stack that seems to accumulate forever right next to the toaster. If you go through the pile, you will probably find you can discard most of it.
Medicine. Overflowing medicine cabinet? Pull out all the expired prescription and over-the-counter drugs. (Take them to your pharmacist for proper disposal).
Clothing. If you havent worn it in a year or two, you will probably never wear it again. Go through your closet and make room for the new by getting rid of the old.
