Are You Relying on a Rodent to Predict Your Weather? We Need to Talk...

Happy Groundhog Day!

Craig Rutman, your Raleigh/ Cary/ Apex area Realtor wishes you a Happy Groundhog Day!

Well folks, it appears that Punxsutawney Phil has made his annual forecast....and the news is apparently pretty good for those of us who are looking forward to an early Spring.

Apparently, groundhog Phil, in the presence of several thousand loonies people, did NOT see his shadow today, signifying that there will be an early Spring this year!

That's pretty comforting news considering how much snow some us have had (and are still having) this Winter.

Personally, I don't rely on rodents for my weather predictions. I prefer to consult the all knowing, all seeing, Magic 8 Ball for prognostications of this sort....... and for all my major decisions!

Craig Rutman, your Raleigh/ Cary/ Apex area Realtor doesn't rely on rodents to predict the weather. It's still winter. Put on a coat!

But if you're going to rely on a rodent, or the Magic 8-Ball to choose a Realtor to help you buy or sell a home, you might as well just pick a name out of the phone book.

Hey, how bad a decision could that be? I mean, after all, Punxsutawney Phil gets it right about 30% of the time!

Wanda - 70 degrees here! I'm not complaining either!

Laura - Are you sure you're a Libra? Better check your horoscope...

Endre - The Farmer's Alamanac is probably the best predictor of the weather.

Nevin - I like that lead dog analogy! Thank you sir.

Leah - Grasping at straws here if you're willing to believe in the work of a rodent!!!

Joy - Sorry Joy. I can't back any rodent that roots for the team that knocked out my Jets!

Michelle -All we can do is hope. But if today was any indication, the weather here in the Raleigh area says Spring is already here!

Dan - I'm predicting that Spring will hit on March 20th!

Anyone thought of listening to the weather forecasters.  They seem to have been dead on this year.  Not popular, but dead on.  You are the realtor to be listened to in the Raleigh, Cary, Apex area of NC.

Craig - I have to admit, I'm not tired of snow, since we haven't had any this winter at our house, despite my children's wishes and prayers to the contrary.  :)

Hi Craig - I've been shovelling out of the snow dump from today, fortunately less than expected.  I'm looking forward to an early spring.

Groundhog Day is one of my favorite movies.  Have you seen it?  :-)  Nothing like a little repetition to drive home a point.  It is a great day of the year for reflection as well.

Craig,

To determine early or late Spring, I use the very scientific method that weather forecasters rely upon.

I have to agree with the others that have noted that you are looking to the wrong groundhog!

Octorara Orphie hasn't been wrong in over 100 years!

I use this method. I look out the window, if it is snowing - then the forecast is snow. I am right most of the time.

Jane - The weather people have actually been right on the money this year.... much to everyone's dismay.

Jason - I hear you. My little one would have liked a few more snow days this year.

Marc - Shovel away my friend! See you in the Spring when you finish!

Tammie - I too am looking forward to an early Spring.

Peter & Linda - You guys are the lucky ones! Not everyone can sing your song this Winter.

Nick - It's over when it's over! You can't make a better prediction than that!

Tni - Groundhog day is a classic! I've seen it over and over...

Toula - But of course! Why should it be any other way?

Irene - Heads I win. Tails you lose?!!!

Ben - I read about Octarara Orphie the other day. Let's hope that streak continues!

Jeanne - Most of the time? How could you be wrong with that method?!
