WE WERE WRONG (WE REALLY MEAN IT)

For those of you who have been closely following our complaints about the media overblowing the possibility of a major storm hitting the Chicago area...

WE WERE blizzardWRONG!!!

We are in the midst of a genuine blizzard.  At this moment, Wednesday at 9:30 am, the official Chicago (O’Hare Field) total is 19.5 inches.  However, it is still snowing intensely right now.  The latest reports say that this is the last band of snow from this weather system.  Unfortunately, I live only a few blocks from Lake Michigan in Glencoe, and there are reports that we could continue to receive “lake effect” snow all day.  Additionally there could be wind gusts up to fifty miles an hour and the temperature could drop anywhere from zero to ten below

I took the dogs for a walk a little while ago.  It was incredible...for them and for me. They had the time of their lives and I was huffing and puffing trying to walk through the four foot+ drifts.   The only people I saw were a few other “die hard” dog owners.

Over the years, we have realized that it is not good business practice to discuss religion or politics with our clients.  It’s a “no-win” situation.  As a result of this most recent set of circumstances, we have decided to add “weather prognostication” to this category.  In fact we’re toying with the idea of making the following our new tagline....

11:30 am update...it took two hours for Activerain to allow me to upload my photo...Snow has stopped! (for now). Temperatures are beginning to drop! City of Chicago news conference just said 3-5 more inches possible...wind chill could drop as low as thirty below tonight.

Steve     They are saying that the enormity of the storm...the power multiplied by the area affected, could be the most powerful storm to ever hit the U.S.  I don't know about that?

Karen     The dogs couldn't be happier.  We're pretty happy too, but the world of real estate has obviously come to a halt.  Hopefully that will resume in a few days....although we all can afford to take a little break.

Aww your doggies look like they are loving it.  My Rocky loves the snow as well.  It has been bitter cold here in Colorado bu not a ton of snow in the Metro Area.  Bundle up.
