Low Taxes Attract Florida Buyers

I am noticing my buyers are focusing on property taxes more than in the past. There appears to be evidence that this focus is a growing trend.  According to a recent article by the Florida Association of Realtors, some of the states with the largest population gains from the 2010 U.S. Census are also known as low-tax states, such as Florida, Texas and Nevada.  Reuters News reports a family of four with a $150,000 income could save $13,368 in state and local income taxes if they move from New York to Florida and even more when one figures in property taxes.  Reuters News reports,"Low-tax states are attracting budget-conscious Americans."    The fact that it is 80 degrees and sunny here in Venice Florida today, Feb 2, doesn't hurt our attraction either.  For more information on Venice and other southwest Florida communities visit my website www.joyceknowsvenice.com
