Fans of American Arts and Crafts furniture are looking forward to the opening of Gustav Stickley and the American Arts & Crafts Movement, at the Dallas Musum of Art.  The exhibit will be open to the public from February 13 - May 8, 2011.

Stickley furniture has been considered collector quality since 1900.  The Stickley family built solid wood Arts and Crafts styled furniture to transend generations.  Their designs were known for quartersawn white oak, well constructed drawers, clear dyes, and hand finishes.  Today the Stickley tradition is being carried on by the Audi Family, in Manlius, New York.

The exhibit will feature over 100 pieces of Stickley furniture, textiles and metalware, produced from 1900 to 1913.

Come and learn more about Gustav Stickley, one of the most influencial people in the American Arts and Crafts Movement.

Contact the Dallas Museum of Art, for further information about the exhibit.
