Desperate Times

By
Real Estate Agent with Frank Rubi Real Estate
I have some listings that just aren't generating much activity.  So I am pondering doing something radical, at least for me.  Gone for now are the days when sticking a sign in the front yard will get results.  Starting this weekend I will start camping out on the front lawn with my canopy, table and chair.  I will have to chase anyone down who even slows down.  What can I say desperate times call for desperate ways.

If a sense of humor sold real estate, you would be the richest agent in business.  Thanks for the chuckle.

John, I'm having the same problem as you.  I'm so thankful that I have income coming in from other areas.

Interesting idea. Don't think I would try it at any of my slow listings but keep us posted.

Might as well have a yard sale. It couldn't hurt! You might even make a few bucks as well as a few contacts!

Just be sure rain is in the forecast.  If the weather is nice enough for you to enjoy front lawn lesiure that may be what everybody else is doing at home.  Here in Northern Virginia holding a house open when the Redskins are playing is a recipe for failure

John, Humor is the first step to creativity.  You are right about doing something radical.  While you are sitting under the canopy, brainstorm some new ideas to market your property.  Share with us what works!  We can all learn from each other's experiences!!
