There is no need to go to downtown Houston for great play performances as Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center presents which tells the story of a Jewish family in hiding from Nazis in Germany during World War II in "The Diary of Anne Frank." The 2011 Katy ISD FFA Livestock Show & Rodeo ("Katy Rodeo") will celebrate its 68th year with a three-night rodeo event beginning Thursday, February 24th through Saturday, February 26th. Katy Rodeo is one of the few remaining youth and professional rodeos still supporting FFA in the great state of Texas!
At the Katy Rodeo see local youth participate in the crowd pleasing calf scramble, mutton bustin', and stick horse races! Junior competitors will participate in break-away roping, and junior barrel racing, too! But the fun doesn't stop there, as the professional rodeo takes the "stage" with events like bull riding, saddle bronc & bareback riding, team roping & more barrel racing. Our very own Katy Cowgirl mounted drill team will open each night's events with their skilled horsemanship performances!
