Lenn:

Many, many years ago I lived in Fairfax and graduated from Fairfax High School.

Hint: Great homes in Fairfax could be had for well under $100,000;-)

Thanks Roberta.

$100,000??

Ha! ! !   The first home we ever bought was in Cherrydale, in Arlington County for about $7,000.

I bought a great home in North Arlington close to Falls Church for $36,000 back in 1971.

That house would sell for about $750,000 today.

Those days are gone.

Lenn: Ha HA! I could have said for less than $50,000. That would also be true!

Our 23-year old son who is also a Realtor has decided that once he starts buying he will sell nothing. Stories like this only tighten that conviction.

Roberta.  For under $50K in this area, you have to go to the sticks and even then. . . .

Paul.  This post is too old to have relevance.
