I’ve gone to the dogs lately it seems! Being the dog lover and rescuer that I am, I am loving all of the events that Huntsville has to help our local shelters.
Sponsored by the Greater Huntsville Human Society, Woofstock Dog Ball 2011 will be a howling good time, featuring some of Huntsville’s finest “Hippie Hounds”. I’m still a bit miffed that they didn’t invite my dashing Golden, Gus, to partake, but hey...competition is tough, lol.

A presentation of some amazing shelter dogs will available....they need forever homes. I’ve always believed that rescue animals are the best. It’s as if they know we saved them and they aren’t afraid to show us their appreciation daily.
The Ball takes place February 11th and begins at 5:45 PM in the VBC South Hall. Dinner, a FABULOUS silent auction, and socializing with all the VIDs (Very important dogs) presented during the evening. As a main event for the silent auction, AMERICAN Flow Control, one of world’s largest manufacturers of fire hydrants, has generously donated five fire hydrants that local artists have painted with whimsical creativity for the Silent Auction. You can view these here. How fun would that be, buying your dog their OWN fire hydrant...but wait. These are much too nice to be....well, you know. Hey Alabama fans...here's your chance to (insert words here) on Auburn!

There is quite a line up of auction items...from paintings by local artists, to a week long stay at the beach, there is something for everyone to bid on!
Please join the Greater Huntsville Human Society for a “groovy” evening that will send you back in time with music and fun! Knowing you have helped save beloved animals will be the cherry on top!
