Thank you for not calling the client back

I was showing a home to new clients yesterday and things were going swimmingly with a delightful young couple. They then told me that they had called several agents and I had been the only one to call them back. My jaw literally hit the ground.

They continued to thank me for being responsive and then commented that it was good for them and good for me. My answer was that it was very good for me and I thanked them for working with us.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you out there for not calling these clients back and to encourage you to stop answering your phones and emails altogether.

Thank you, I really appreciate it.

It is unfortunate, but it does happen all the time and for many reasons.

I had the same thing happen my clients had called several agent and while I was out showing two of them actually called.  Well I was showing them ocupied homes so it was actually the weekend and I had spoke with them on Thursday to get these set up.  In a time when it is slow why would anyone take two days to call someone back.  My new clients were kind enough to respond sorry we our out with our agent looking at homes.  Sold them something that weekend and we closed 30 days later.

My phone is on 24/7!

LOL  Don't you just love it when that happens!  I am about to close on a deal that was the same way.  Buyer from out of state called on a Saturday morning.  He told me he had called several other agents, but I was the first that answered my phone.  Closing on a $200,000 home this week.  Yay to us, for doing our jobs and answereing our phones!

Our industry is one where the trivial proverb is so true. If you don't take care of business, someone else will. I just think it's rude to not return a call!
