Speechless Sundays - Frozen In Motion

I know we're all sick of snow and photos of snow, no matter how picturesque, have lost their charm by now but this photo is unique and I wanted to share it with you.

Floating Bricks

The snowblower left a sheet of snow against the brick facing of our house.  When the tempertures rose above freezing, the sheet of snow started melting and literally peeling off the bricks.  Before it could loosen enough to fall, tempertures dropped below freezing again and the sheet of snow, imprinted with the brick pattern that it was resting against froze and just stayed that way, folded over, midway off the wall for a couple of days.

I wasn't quite sure what to name this photo - "floating bricks", "frozen in motion", "snow impressions"... I'm open to suggestion.

Lora - Susan Emo also posted a bazaar snow drift with the imprint of bricks from a building on her property.  This winter has created all sorts of scenes that we don't normally see.  Your picture is amazing!

Melanie - crazy things in crazy weather!

Chuck - Thanks.  It's been so cold that things haven't had a chance to melt much and whatever did iced up pretty quickly thereafter.

Rita - More floating bricks?

Gary - My mailman actually came out of his truck to give it a second look.  Seems it was a first to him too.

Tim - a picture is worth a thousand words....

Jeffrey - Not my doing - mother natures!

Valerie - two of us with the same phenomena.  I'm off to check hers out.

Dorie - You might be right and that might describe it better than floatging bricks....Ummm....

Christine - This winter has brought us lots of things that are firsts...

Bill - the things we learn i n the rain...

Joni - thanks for stopping by.

Myrl, after all the comments I was getting about Susan Emo's post I went to check out her photo.  Seems the snow has been doing strange things all over,

Hi Leah -  isn't this a strange winter.  Both you and I finding these same floating bricks!!!  Your photo is fantastic.  I'm so glad I  captured mine when I did because we had another blizzard and it buried my snow bricks!  Weird :0)

John, I'm sure coming from Wisonsin, there's plenty of other snow creations you could come up with.

Chris - The snow got there via the snowblower.  We've had so much snow that we're running out of place to put it.

Leah, this is a "cool" picture.  Wow.  Spring is just around the corner and all this snow will be a distant memory; however, the picture will remind us of how we survived the cold.  Neat pic. :)

Gail - I'd love to think that spring is just around the corner but if it is, it's a really big corner.  Things are warming up but we've still got a lot of snow around. Can't wait for spring and wardmer wether.
