Buyers, Please Don't Abuse My Seller!

Real Estate Agent with Client First, Realtors - Canton, MI

OK.. I know this is a Buyers Market, but this does not mean that Sellers need to be abused!

  • If you make an appointment, please keep it or call ahead to cancel it.
  • If you open a door, please close it. Especially to the unheated garage. My sellers do not like to come home to a furnace that has been running for 4 hours heating the garage.
  • If you turn on a light, please turn it off.
  • If your shoes are covered with snow and salt, please take them off.

  • Please give feedback. We really care what you thought.

You the agent, broker make sure during showings pet waste, diesel fuel or grease, dirt are not tracked in by removing shoes. Real videos of the homes, well, your buyer can leave his/her shoes on.

This is why we have to go with the buyer to view a home.

Buyers can be like little kids and I have a profound dislike for the the type of buyer that has to open every cupboard and closet just to see whats in them.

More and more, in this market, you have to guide the buyer through the listing and make sure the place is left in the same condition it was in before you got there. If you preview the property before you take the client then you can direct the buyer in such a way that they see everything without going through the closets!

Whew, this business is really a trip isn't it!!

Hi @ Art: Unfortunately all of this negative behavior happen supposedly with a Buyers Agent present. I have had to call several Brokers to ask their Agents to be on better behavior. Whew is right.
