Distressed Sale Timeline for: Alamo, Blackhawk, Diablo & Ruby Hill

By
Real Estate Agent with Tucker Associates Real Estate Services Broker, CalBRE 01165309

As a companion to the Four Year Real Estate Performance for: Alamo, Blackhawk, Diablo & Ruby Hill I researched the growth of distressed sales for these higher end market segments during the period of 2007-2010. As the housing market moves toward recovery there are still challenges left for home buyers and sellers with respect to the growth of both short sales and foreclosures in their neighborhoods. The following information only pertains to single family detached homes.

Doug:

It' shocking to see the REOs in communities that are high end.  This shows that recovery is still a long way off.

Well hopefully not that far. Units up...days on market down. A resettnig of values has taken place to a new normal so now we just have to work through the distressed inventory. Hopefully we can see larger growth in the overall economy in 2011 which should accelerate employment gains and recovery.
