Dear Deborah,
My husband and I have been looking and looking for a home to buy! Our home is sold and we are renting so we have time to find the perfect home. We found a home that we really liked in Creekside Subdivision but it was a short sale and our offer was not accepted. There are lots available Creekside Subdivision do you think we could build instead of waiting for another to come onto the market? Or is it silly to build when there are so many homes at bargain prices on the market?
Sincerely,
Anxious to Buy
Dear Anxious,
It is a tough market out here in Nampa Idaho. Many homes are either Bank Owned or are Short Sales with a lot of competition. Many of these homes are getting more than one offer. I think that building a home is a great option that may be available. I actually talked to a builder last week about building the home you were interested in located in Creekside Subdivision. Chaney Stotts Construction is a great and comparable builder. He can build that home for $189,900 ....a bit more than the home that was listed. But you can customize this home to your tastes. That includes paint colors, carpet and all your light fixtures. It also has an $8,000 allowance for landscaping built into the price.
One advantage in building over buying a short sale or a bank owned home is that the home is in Move In condition. You will not have to paint or replace carpets or buy light fixtures or appliances as you have to with many short sales and bank owned properties!
If you are interested in setting up a time to visit with Chaney Stotts Construction let me know! Chaney has a wide variety of options to customize your home!
Together Chaney and I can make the building process a pleasure and not a hassle!
Looking forward to working with you on your build Job!
Deborah
