I picked up my issue of Pickerington Magazine this afternoon and noticed that the cover was for our newest downtown Pickerington restaurant, The Village Crepe. Could not help myself but had to comment on this new comer to the Shoppes of Pickerington. We have had several restaurants in and out of this space the last few years but this one is different.
The owner, Wayne Moore, has a pretty simple menu. Really it's all about the crepe. He's not trying to do everything but what he's doing is really good. By the way, there is more than crepes on the menu. That's just the best part. It's been awhile since I have had a good, fresh, simple meal that tasted so good. The only downside that I can see is that for now they are only open for breakfast and lunch. Can't wait to take my kids to breakfast some weekend. (If they're good.)
Lisa highly recommends the Chocolate Cherry Crepe witch was todays special. So far, I have not had a frattata that I have not enjoyed.Village Crepe is open Tuesday through Friday 6:30 to 2pm (8-2 Saturday and Sunday). There website is at www.villagecrepe-pickerington.com. I encourage everyone to give our new local restaurant a try and bon appetite!
