Central Kitsap Junior High Football: "Our First Game/Victory!"

Real Estate Agent with Fathom Realty West Sound WA State 52404

Last Wednesday was the 1st game of the 2007 season for the Central Kitsap Junior High Cubs, both JV and Varsity squads.

My youngest son, Luke, is starting quarterback on the JV team. He has played the last two years on the local Silverdale Pee Wee Team and was excited to play for his school this year.

We played Marcus Whitman Junior High down in Port Orchard. We won the coin toss, and elected to receive. Our first touchdown came in the very first series, followed by another touchdown in the 1st quarter. Marcus Whitman wouldn't go down without a fight, and punched their way into the end zone twice, making it a tie game going into the 4th quarter.

With 3rd down, only two minutes left to go in the game, and the score still tied, our boys lined up on the 50 yard line. My son, Luke, dropped back and hurled a long shot 30+ yard pass and hit Josh Sontag right in the numbers. Josh ran the ball up to the 10 yard line. Two plays later, the Cubs scored the winning touchdown!

(Please forgive the obnoxious audio. One of the Dad's got a little excited!)

Just another slice of life here on the beautiful Kitsap Peninsula in scenic Washington State!

Ahhh....how I remember those days. The twins both played football we went to all the games( I worked the chains) and used to have some of the players over for food after the games. At that time when the boys were about 13 TLW could beat the entire team in arm wrestling!!! They used to get a real kick out of that since all the boys had 30 to 50 pounds on her. She's a strong little woman.

You must be so proud. Enjoy these times my friend. They grow up quickly.

Oh Rich, thanks for sharing. I know how much fun it is. My husband coached little league for 12 years all three sons. We had a blast. Two played QB in high school and one ended up playing running back and defense. Enjoy these are THE best years !! The Jr. Wolverines, we have drawers of video's.

Go Luke!! And the whole team at Marcus Whitman Jr. High.

Katya is a big baseball fan, but at age 4 I don't know where her sporting talents might lie.

Hi Rich,
How exciting the game must have been for you.  Thanks for sharing and it is good for localism and marketing.  Who'd thought you get to brag on your kid and promote your business at the same time?  Does it get any better than than?  :0)

So after our AYSO soccer game this evening, one of the first things I did tonight when I got on to AR was to come check out your new game report. Where is it? And that reminds me, I need to get a soccer report together too.
