Foreclosures: Look..Listen and Learn

I listen to agents, sellers and buyers complain about how slow the banks are in dealing with short sales and don't seem to care if the homes are headed into foreclosure.

I try and digest all the posts Lenn Harley here in ActiveRain creates on the subject. However, I have to admit I've still not gotten why banks are not getting these mortgages modified quickly and are allowing them to slip into foreclosure. A friend sent me this video and what a visual....a real eye opener. Now I have the big picture and understand how many are feeling their pockets are getting picked...on a daily basis!! The sad part is we are allowing this to happen!!

Banks have federal obligations to meet first, and short sales is still convoluted in its construct, that they really don't know how to handle these. When short sales become bank-owned, it seems like the process accelerates. Nonetheless, the consumer gets thrown to the curb in the process... g

Dorie, this video again demonstrates how there is clearly no focus on stabilizing the housing market by the FDIC etc. Remember when NAR wanted to stop banks from entering real estate??? Now the ones who pay are also the ones who lose! Hopefully, you will share this YouTube video. This would have been a great Superbowl public service ad!
