Does Brokerage Brand Matter When Selling A Home?

Does Brokerage Brand Matter When Selling Your Home? A debate that has been raging back and forth for years between brokers is what is the best brokerage firm to use. National Association of Realtors is now asking home sellers to give an opinion at a national-level. Results are in... Personally, I have been practicing for 10-years and found that my answers were not exactly in line with survey results and consumer opinions. From the vantage point of a practicing Colorado Real Estate Broker, I find that I have had strong opinions toward a specific brand (when I was attached to that specific brand). Brokerages are different and small advantages could exist in one area or another, most often for the broker/agent and not the client. Nonetheless, I have served customers and clients at Prudential, Keller Williams, and other small brokerage firms in between. I have also considered hanging my license with Re/Max. No matter where I have practiced, in the end it comes down to competency and customer service on an individual agent/broker level. To my surprise the survey results seem to agree. Thanks for the reply Natalie. Just another reminder we must continue to practice good real estate no matter what firm we are with.

I used to think that the large brand name was the way to go.  Now that I have been in the business for a while, I'm beginning to realize that it is my personal service and reputation that matter more.  I don't need the large corporate name to generate leads anymore.

Hi Jeff and Jodi, What you posted makes sense, I am just surprised that Keller Williams put it out there.  My hat is off to them!  Thanks for the post and have a great day.
