When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them,"Let the little children come to me,and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Jesus loved the little children , because they represented what we all were in his eyes. He wanted us to become children of God and to look upon him as our father. He wanted love , respect, adoration and most of all obedience. We were given what most of us truly yearn for, a father who loves us unconditionally. But how do we show our gratitude. How do we treat our children. How many of us realize too late what a precious commodity children are.
In my humble opinion there are two areas we need a lot of work in.
1) The sexual exploitation of our children. We all know its all around us and far too often we just look the other way. Or wait till its too late to get up in arms about some pedophile. How about the exploitation in the media every day. I myself turned a blind eye for to long and am now a 46 year old with his second grandchild on the way. Although i love my precious little bundle of joy from the Lord I was lax before my salvation and truly wished my daughter had no longer been a child when she started having children. All I can say is Praise The Lord that i didn,t completely neglect to give her any principals, whichis my second point.
2.) FORTY SIX MILLION abortions in this country alone, and far too many "Christians" who turn the other way. We're told it is a matter of choice. We it is , IT'S GOD'S CHOICE AND HE SAYS IT'S MURDER. Everytime I see a politician on the news who says they are a Christian but they are pro choice I want to throw up. Even sadder is that the public buys it. There are many God fearing people in this country and we need to stop looking the other way and hiding our heads in the sand. Noone is asking you to put your life in jeopardy or become a matyr, just let your feelings be known and PRAY for our leaders to end the murder of innocent babies.
God Bless You
