Natural Beauty at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

My business partner and I were out working on the west side of town today and it was a glorious day in Colorado.  I caught a glimpse of Red Rocks and begged him to stop so I could take a look.  After driving up a steep mountain road, we arrived to view the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in all of its glory!

The Red Rocks Amphitheatre opened in 1906 in Morrison, Colorado as one of the most spectacular open-air venues in the world. The Red Rocks Amphitheatre has won the Pollstar award for best small outdoor venue 11 times.  Every summer, Red Rocks offers some of the most talented musical artists in the world and draws crowds from all over the State.

Here are some pictures of the Red Rocks and even a cool view of downtown Denver.

That is Will and I.  It was so bright I could barely see to pose for the picture.  There were quite a few tourists up at Red Rocks and some of them stopped to take a picture of us.

Hi Belinda, what a gorgeous day as well as beautiful view.  I have visited Sedona and enjoyed the red rocks...they are just as beautiful there in Denver.  You can tell that you were enjoying the day.

I've also visited Red Rocks, Belinda. They look a little different in the snow.

Stan, Most of the time, Colorado is just gorgeous.  I do feel very fortunate.

Judith, I have been to Sedona as well.  It is breathtaking.

Maria, The contract between the snow and the red is very cool right now.

Great pictures!  Thanks for sharing your experience. Some of our friends suggested that we buy our retirement home in Colorado.

Belinda, Beautiful photos!  I would love to visit the Red Rocks Amphitheatre.  I have been to Palo Duro Canyon in Canyon, TX to see the play "Texas."  It was awesome and I would love to see the one in Red Rocks as well!
