If you are in the Athens, GA area on Sunday evening, Feb. 20th, stop by The Classic Center and enjoy the 18th annual Taste of Athens. Sample the fares of over 50 local restaurants and beverage purveyors and at the same time support the Community Connection of Northeast Georgia, an organization who's mission is " Nurturing, developing, and maintaining information and systems which empower individuals and communities to access needed resources and services."
The "Taste" starts at 5PM and runs to 8 PM. This year you can vote for who you believe will be crowned the best. Voting can be done online or at the event itself. On Saturday, you can work up an appetite for Sunday's fare by participating in either the 10k Run or 1 Mile Family Walk. Information on entering can be found at www.taste10k.org. There will also be a raffle for "Stay-cation", 12 nights of local lodging, 12 dinners at local restaurants and 12 bottles of wine.
