When the economy picks up

January 10, 2011 Urban Word of the Day:

When the economy picks up

Common beginning or ending to a sentence. It can serve to:

1. provide an excuse for why one has not yet done something.
2. suggest a vague intention of doing something later (similar to how Spanish speakers use the word "mañana.")
3. add minimal credibility to an idea that is a pipe dream.

1. There's no point in looking for a job until the economy picks up.
2. I'll start my business when the economy picks up.
3. Unemployment levels will go back down to the levels they were in the late 1990s when the economy picks up.

I saw this on Urban Dictionary last week and realized just how often I hear that phrase in the Real Estate industry.  I speak with a lot of Realtors as well as Mortgage Brokers and there is way too much negativity.  It's a self fulfilling prophecy; the economy is bad so there is no business out there!  I see plenty of Realtors really killing it right now.  Why; because they are not waiting for "when the economy picks up."  They are thinking outside the box and finding new ways to attract business.

Here is one my friend David Krichmar www.DaveYourMortgageGuy.com reposted last year and I think it's brilliant.  David posts some great info, if you do not follow him you should!

If you need help with the YouTube videos give me a call.  I do them free of charge for all the realtors I work with.  Check some of them out at my YouTube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/BobTheBroker100 , and then go ahead and Google one of the address'!  YouTube is incredible for SEO!

Google This Address

With every listing we post in the front yard of our client's home, "Google This Address." It is the least we can do for them. We do much more than "Google This Address" for our Kennewick homes clients, but we continue to be amazed that no one else gets this small but effective marketing point.

Flyers Kinda Suck
We do not do the flyer box thing. Why? Because we have a "Google This Address" sign in every listing we have. Yup, and we know it works because our analytics show the traffic to the web pages/blog entries we post for our clients. Plus, how unprofessional is it to have an empty flyer box! Yikes!

A Listing Presentation Selling Point
When Colleen and I (nope, no assistants in our business model) show up to do a listing presentation, we let the client know about the "Google This Address" strategy (among many other marketing strategies). Not only are folks not doing this, but if they were, they are not organized enough, or technology adept to show a client the stats behind the strategy.

Rental Properties
Works for rental properties as well. We post a "Google This Address" for our rental properties. Sure, Google, "1506 Judson Avenue, Richland WA" and you'll see our recent rental in Google search action!

Well ActiveRain community, are you doing the "Google This Address?"

The Google sign is a great idea!! Sometimes we just don't think of the easy and obvious techniques.

its not a scam its MISLEADING they claim to win 97% of their bets what they FAIL to tell you is most you are playing 3 game CHASE sysmtes which means if you bet and lose you DOUBLE up in game 2 if you lose you now TRIPLE up to win back game 1 and 2 losses AND make a PROFIT it mostly WINS but ONE loss KILLS your bankroll 1+2+4=8 you need 8 units handy just to win ONE unit if your team wins ANY of the 3 games they count the WHOLE thing as a WIN!!!!! the ceiling is low (relatively) if you want to make a few hundred you can afford to chase to be making 1,000 a series you need over 8,000 just to win 1,000 and Losses DO HAPPEN you NEVER know when. the risk verses reward does come into question!!!!!the sad part is in the grand scheme of sports betting sysmtes this one is not one of the worst ones lol the sad fact is you SHOULD win 1 out of 3 its just since your CHASING losses one LOSS KILLS alot of hard work and small WINS!!!!Choice is Yours Good Luck:)
