THE NEW GENERATION OF FACEBOOK

By
Real Estate Agent with ERA Key Realty~Worcester County Realty Group 9079496

Just came back from a great Social Media event at Holy Cross College
in Worcester, Massachusetts!

John and Jarred Alexandrov from Real Estate Inner Circle are a father and son team
who work together to help real estate agents better their presence on the Internet in
this world of Social Media!

For most of us, this social media stuff can be very overwhelming!

This two-hour presentation gave us tips on how to better our business but multiple sources instead of just several. Gone are the days when most agents just waited for their phones to ring!

Here are some major tips I wanted to share with you:

1. Maintain a professional image on Facebook.
2. Try to keep your personal separate from your business page.
3. If you aren't computer savvy nor think you have the time to blog, HIRE SOMEBODY!
(WOULD YOU SHINGLE YOUR OWN ROOF?)
4. Don't overload your posts with your listings. Post daily but shake it up a bit!
5. Set up a BUSINESS FAN PAGE!
6. Your FAN PAGE will replace your website.

Part of the presentation had my Activerain blog in it!

Hope you all find this information helpful!

I DID!

I like it....but I'll have to come back to this later, up shingling the roof right now and the manual is a bit unclear. :) great analogy

That's great Michele, I'm glad to hear the team advised keeping the personal separate from the business page.  That was something that I wasn't comfortable with because I didn't want to spam my FB friends with a lot of real estate info.
