Welcome to my first attempt at blogging.
I have been researching blogging for over 18 months. Well, I guess you could say I really have been procrastinating. It's one of those things that frightened me more than anything else. "Is this a good use of my time?", "Who is really going to read this?", "What do I say?", "What don't I say?" are just a few of the questions that plagued me every time I thought about starting. I still have no idea what I am doing when it comes to blogging, but I guess one has to start somewhere.
I was speaking with my friend & Government Affairs Director of our association, Jeff Merrinette, the other day and came to the conclusion that I just need to start. Jeff has been blogging for a while now & in my opinion has a really good hang of it. I sat & picked his brain for a little while & realized you can't walk until you take that first step.
This feels more like skydiving than walking however.
Add to this that my husband & business partner Dan has been making off-hand comments about how great my blog looks - blank. At which he gets "the look". But he is right, my excuses of being too busy have gotten a little old. While I have been busy with clients, running the office, and all the other things that creep into our daily lives, this is something I have wanted to do. It's Time to Dive right into it.
What can you expect? Well, a little bit of everything and your suggestions are always welcome. I plan to give seller & buyer points, interesting "in the trenches" stories, pointers for new agents, real estate investing tips, financing tips & other real estate related tips & stories. Being a long-time member of our Government Affairs Committee and former Chairman of our north committee, I will share with you local, Illinois & national legisl
ative news that pertains to real estate & homeownership (I could fill a whole other blog with just that).
I also plan to share with you one of my other passions, Autism Awareness. As the parents of a child with an autism spectrum disorder, Dan & I have lots to share and would love to hear what you have to say.
Soooooo...Sit back, relax, laugh, scream, roll your eyes and, most of all, enjoy this great adventure with me!
Annette
