You've seen your friends pop up their status with the weird "Hey I just lost 50 pounds with this amazing thing I found" or "You should see this, I totally thought of you when I saw it" And you pretty much know it's not them. Their page got hacked...
So unless you want to go about changing your password every month (which is what I had been doing) or enter the 'S' in the http://www.facebook.com everytime S = Secure then Facebook has finally come out with a permanent way to access your facebook so others cannot view your activity.
This is new though and not every account may have it just yet but by now, most do. In case you didn't know... when you see the https:// in the address bar it means you are just communicating with that server and it's totally private from anyone else seeing your activity.
Facebook now give you the ability to select this feature for every page on facebook, all the time. Here's the steps:
Go to the Account link at the top right of your facebook profile
Then click on Account Settings
Then click on CHANGE on the account security and click the top box to let your facebook always use the https:// feature.
Again, this may not be accessible for all users just yet... but it's a great way to stay secure while surfing the largest social network out there.

Patti Lyles also did a blog a couple days ago about facebook security in case you missed it.
