New Sonoma Listings & Some Re-Runs, Too.
Spring is in the air and the seasonal crop of new Sonoma listings has begun to appear, fresh-faced and eager to be shown.
This week's homes on broker tour include a couple of properties that have been remodeled---and one almost totally redone. My favorite is a home in Sobre Vista built in 1952. I recently wrote a post on a historic Spreckels' home for sale in Sobre Vista. This new listing is just up the road from the Spreckels' house. It's a 3-bedroom/3-bath 3000+/- square foot house on 4+/-acres with a guest unit, a dipping pool, and big Sonoma Valley views. The asking price is $2,795,000.
Two other listings caught my camera lens today. One is a cottage in Glen Ellen, priced at $879,000 that reminded me so much of the cabin on my grandparents property. It's got knotty pine walls, an open beam ceiling, and rich-red Douglas fir floors. It sits on about 1/2-acre, backs up to a creek, has a detached bonus room/office, and a pool.
Another house on the East Side of Sonoma sang to me, a 1951 mid-century modern that's been all gussied up---the listing agents says it's fresh and fun with lots of light. It's also on about a third of an acre, a big lot in town.
Other listings on tour today included:
- 3bed/2ba townhouse on Sonoma's west side for $247,000. It's a short sale that's been on market for 238 days.
- 2bed/1ba single level home in the adult 55+ community of Temelec listed at $265,000, which has been on market for 112 days.
- 4bed/3ba on .75+/-acre in The Springs for $625,000 which is a short sale.
- 4bed/3ba on Sonoma's east side listed at $699,000 that was on the market last year for 180 days and is now being re-introduced.
- 5bed/4ba Sonoma east sider listed at $1,100,000, with three ensuite master bedrooms.
- 4bed/4ba farmhouse on 10 acres for $1,350,000. This property has been on the market since 2008.
- 6bed/6ba 5000+/-square foot home in the center of Sonoma Valley on Highway 12. This is a short sale priced at $1,600,000.
